FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

ABOUT THE PRODUCTS

We currently offer the second edition of the Color Amazonia book, as well as posters and stickers. We are working on including new products in the coming months.

Yes. Our products are produced in limited runs, so some may sell out quickly. However, we will be incorporating new editions and objects over time.

The book was edited by Mesa Estandar, produced directly by us, and printed in Spain. Some products belong to the world of stationery, and in the future, we hope to offer art objects made with our vegetable inks, such as crayons or markers, etc.

We are not yet offering products made with natural pigments, but when available, they will not require special care. They are neither toxic nor delicate products.

We do not offer formal certificates at the moment, but each product will be accompanied by clear information about its production process and the materials used.

SUSTAINABILITY AND ORIGIN

Color Amazonia is an artistic and research project that seeks to reveal the natural and cultural beauty of the Amazon, through the color, plants, and ancestral knowledge that inhabit it.

Yes. For over 20 years we have worked with a Huitoto family, and we deeply believe in the importance of building affectionate relationships over time and preserving their knowledge and traditions. In addition to contributing to local economic development, we are motivated to inspire more people to visit the Amazon and know the initiatives that are born from the territory.

The pigments we use come from plants we buy from local communities that cultivate them settled on the banks of the Amazon River, between Leticia and Puerto Nariño. We also cultivate some that we have been able to adapt to the local climate in a forest near Medellín, for research purposes. This entire process is documented in our book Color Amazonia.

Yes. We use natural extracts, without chemicals. Our work with communities is based on the principle of reciprocity and ethical processes that respect time, knowledge, and the environment.

Extraction is done in an artisanal way, following traditional methods, as diverse Amazonian communities have always done.

We always seek to make visible the work of Kasia's family, who is a leading woman in her community. Her knowledge and bond with the territory are the heart of this project.
